Mother's Day!

I sure love my mother! She is selfless, hardworking, smart, self-disciplined and righteous! How thankful I am for the time and effort she put and continues to put toward my salvation! She is always cheerful and I love chatting with her on the phone! I trust my Mom--she has never mislead me and always seeks my best interest! My gratitude is enormous for her talents, perseverance, kindness and love! I love you, Mom! Here is a little poem just for her:

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Here we are on another Mother's Day!
I'm just sitting here thinking what to say....
I've told you you're smart and pretty and kind;
You're the best Mom that anyone could find!
You serve others with a smile on your face,
Wherever you are is a better place!

I've already named your talents galore--
Like cooking, teaching, planning and more!
Your piano playing brings us such joy.
You never seek to be mean or annoy.
Your lexicon is extensive and wide,
Which you use in your letters on the side!

I've mentioned how clean you make everything--
Hands, dishes, floors, thoughts and even offspring!
Your swimming techniques are the best in town.
You could draw anything--even a clown!
When it comes to school projects, you're the best!
To all of this and more I can attest!

But, I've shared most of this stuff once before;
My lack of uniqueness I quite deplore!
No candy, flowers or jewelry I send,
But my LOVE for you I'll have till the end!
My enormous thanks I will not subdue;
The only thing to say is I LOVE YOU!!!

Kavella was such a sweetheart on Mother's Day! She gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and chocolate covered strawberries! Plus, she slept from 10:30 pm to 6:00 am! What a gem! Oh, and she rolled over twice! Not sure if it was accidental or not, but it was exciting either way! I am most thankful to be a mom. I love watching Kavella grow and learn! I thank my Heavenly Father for letting me raise her, which teaches me patience, kindness, persistence, time management, service and gratitude! I love being a mom! Dustin made me a delicious steak (my favorite)! What a great Mother's Day!

Jennifer made Kavella this beautiful quilt! Jenn is such a little seamstress! I absolutely love the quilt--thanks sis!!

Isn't it such a great quilt?!? Now she has wonderful quilts from her Aunt Erica, Aunt Jenn, (honorary) Auntie Chante, Granny Morrison and Great-Grandma Roberts!! One to match every outfit! How am I get surrounded by such talented people and yet remain quite clueless on a sewing machine? Ha, ha!

Well, last Friday, Dustin and I decided to take advantage of the two entrees and appetizer deal ($20) at Applebees! I can only remember going there one other time (with my family) while in Oklahoma, but it turned out to be quite tasty! Kavella was enthralled in the Laker's playoff game!

This is Kavella's new friend, Haley! They were watching us make/fix their bows! Choco is always chilling somewhere nearby!
