Be My Valentine?

Happy Valentine's Day! This is my sweet little candy heart--apparently, "sour face" is her favorite one to make! Dustin is such a gem! He gave me some mini roses, which I think I already killed, made me shortcake and strawberries (with homemade whip cream) and surprised me with a "Pot of Gold" box of chocolates! I love him! He also took me to Chili's restaurant where I scarfed down some tasty food! Oh, and he made me a heart-shaped hamburger! Isn't he so creative?! Dustin is the best husband a girl could have....or a guy if we're being politically correct....just kidding. I've been living in CA waaaaay too long!

Choco was the only one who cared to smile for the pic! I'd rather dream on....

Uh, I'm thinkin' she'll need an eyebrow pencil when she's older!

This is my permanent spot on the couch.
At least Kavella knows where to look at the camera!
One of the best things about being a mom is that I can smooch her ALL THE TIME!! I wonder if that's the reason she has baby acne......

Yup, same spot, different outfit. At least I showered, right?
Her shoes are dirty from all that walking...wait.

Kiss, please!
I know, I know, people hate blogs that are ONLY about their kids, but I just love her so much! I promise, just as soon as I have something more interesting to talk about...I will! We are blessing her on March 1! Everyone is invited!

Chubby Hands and Hangnails

I love her chubby little hands! She has all these little hangnails, but I can't really do much about it because her nails are half sticking up and half connected to the skin on her fingers! Kavella is constantly scratching her face up, so I try to put her in clothes that have those built-in gloves.

This is her preppy outfit, given to her by Nancy and Dennis. Dennis (CFO) works with Dustin and I was able to spend time with Nancy at the Manager's Retreat. They are such a nice, fun couple! I know you can't see the purple in her dress, but I swear it's there! Of course, I slapped an enormous bow on her head to cover how bald it is! I'm just going to level with everyone--I'm not such a fan of head bows, but I realize they are a great way to mask such aforementioned genetic inheritances! Now, if the bow is petite and cute, I think it's cute. However, some bows are just huge, make her ears stick out and remind me of a maid....or one of those athletic sweat bands...or a gift. Oh well, I'll keep using them so long as she's bald, which could be a few years!

She hasn't gone to the bathroom while bathing yet, but she did pee all over Grandma Roberts while she was here!
She loves listening to Dustin talk. He was giving her smooches and we think she smiled..on purpose! It was so cute!

This is my little hobo baby! So, we got PART of the hospital bill. Wow! Who knew it was so expensive to have a baby! I guess if we weren't paying for all of the uninsured people having children, then it might be less expensive! On top of that, we can barely afford the rest of the expenses associated with a child, which we provide for others (who qualify for state assistance). I'm just frustrated with the way our state/government is running things. I like the idea of accountability when it comes to receiving "freebies." Don't even get me started on State Disability/Workers' Comp. Speaking of welfare and such, how does everyone feel about Nadya Suleman? If you don't know who that is, just look it up. You should have an opinion.

12 Faces in 2 Minutes!!

Here we go! Kavella makes all sorts of faces each day...After feeding her today, I grabbed the camera and captured a few of them. You will only have to endure 12, which all came within just a couple minutes of sitting there! She is so animated, but it's hard to capture her facial expressions because they change so quickly!
It starts off so nicely...what a cutie pie!
Her milk-drunk face!
Getting a little bored....
"Are you still there, Mom?"
A little smile-tease....
Fine, here's a good one!
A little peak...

Can I sleep now?
Looking a bit worried.
Finally, she's ready for a SMOOCH! I obliged!
Isn't Dustin such a handsome Dad?! Kavella just loves being held by him!

Okay, so every time I change her and she gets this serious, focused face....I know that poop will be flying! Kavella is so funny! It's like the minute I take off her diaper, she thinks it's time to poo! Sometimes she'll get red and grunt, but usually, she just sits there calmly, focuses on one point in the room and then lets it fly! I thought I'd take a picture, of course!
Above, that serious face looks sweet, but it means trouble!
She obviously loves her carseat!

Kavella pretty much sleeps through each walk! But, she sure looks delicious doing it, huh?
Her "straight arm" snooze...
All ready for bed! Where's Dad?
He's ready, too!
Goodnight!
