Ode to Dustin surfing!!!

As you all know, I love watching Dustin surf! He is quite talented!! Here are a ton of pictures from October. For all you non-surfers, each one may look the same, but take the time to look closely at each shot, paying special attention to Dustin's form and the shape of the wave! He the best!!
Isn't that sweet?!

The one above is my favorite! I love how the wave is shining. Plus, Dustin is getting barreled!

Look at that air! This picture is awesome, too!

Another favorite (above)! See how smooth the wave is? Perfect for Dust to tuck into!
You can see how stoked Dust is....look at his mouth!

Perfect wave! Hot surfer!

Palm Springs

This picture has nothing to do with Palm Springs. Eloise gave us, well the baby, the cutest little Sunday shoes and head band! She is the best!

This last weekend, Dustin and I cruised out to Palm Springs for the "Managers' Retreat!" While the managers attended meetings, their wives were treated to a spa day! It was really fun--especially since WTI paid for it! :) I got to get a prenatal massage, dangle my legs in the hot tub, lay in the shade by the pool and enjoy a delicious lunch! The ladies I was with were most enjoyable! Nancy, the accountant's wifey, paid close attention to my needs as a pregnant gal and was always willing to offer a hand! She was a gem! Our villa was enormous! The picture above is just half of it--our entire apartment could fit in the front rooms! Oh! And there was a dishwasher; what an invention! I was quite careless with the amount of cups and plates I used! I surely enjoyed our air-conditioned escape, and I am most thankful that Dustin is a dedicated, hard-working husband! I am so proud of him and his new Marketing Manager position, which he will start next year!

Below, I posted a few pics of the windmills that generate energy for California. There are miles of these windmills, all lined up, which look like an actual windmill farm! It's cool to see....

The next pictures are of the Corona fire, which started on Saturday. It jumped the 91 freeway (the freeway we take to get home from Palm Springs), so it closed down. The 57 freeway, an alternate route, was at a dead stop because of evacuations. Fortunately, Dustin and I saw the smoke on our way out of the desert, so we were able to exit the freeways and take the Ortega Hwy route! It passes Lake Elsinore and has pretty views, so I wasn't that upset at our extended drive!

Above, smoke in Corona.....below, when we finally arrived home (in Huntington Beach) it was eerily dark! The wind was blowing to the west, so all the smoke came to the beach! The pictures don't capture it well, but heavy soot and smoke filled our sky!

Ultrasound

Since our little girl is getting so big, it's impossible to see all of her at once in the ultrasound! Consequently, these pictures appear more like some sort of psychology picture blot-test...."and what do you see here?" Thankfully, they are labeled. Above, her five little fingers are showing!

Now, here is a good Halloween costume....scary baby with pantyhose over face....is that mean?
We can already see that hats and bangs will be a necessity....dang humongous foreheads we have!!

This is my favorite picture!! Her little foot is all the way up by her nose! How flexible!

Oh, and our first genetic distinction--her second toe is longer than her big toe!! Courtesy of me!
I can't wait until she arrives!

Seven Months Pregnant!

141 lbs. and counting! Actually, I did really good at keeping my weight gain in the "normal" region this month! Visiting the doctor every other week, I have been logging in 2-3lbs every appointment--okay, maybe a little more than I'm supposed to gain! Look at my side-view picture--I am not even arching my back, it just does that! If you could see my bare belly, then you would realize just how large it really is!! Lately, I've been having these dreams about stretch marks, which I feel are inevitable! Oh well, I can get rid of those stretch marks, my crooked toe and the bump on my forehead when I get to Heaven! :)
