Pure LOVE.
First swim lesson, looking super confident, I must say! Er,....maybe slightly apprehensive..
Sometimes, I don't want Curren to go into the back yard. Ok, well, it's ALL dirt back there and I don't feel like bathing him twice a day, so yes, I make him suffer....watching his big sister have loads of fun on her Barbie scooter without him.....See, he's not too upset about it...
"Now, let's do a demi plie....."
Uh, well, okay so he doesn't quite understand how a screen door works....he probably thinks if he pushes hard enough, then he'll be outside with his sister. Awk-ward!
Oh, my....oh, my, my, my what a delicious baby boy!
Cousin William! I'm pretty sure he is the reason behind Kavella's superhero obsession....just look at his shirt and shorts. They dress up in superhero costumes all the time at his house. I love it!
Happy 35th Birthday, Dustin! These are the only pictures I took. I suck.
Kavella started swim lessons! Not the productive, private one-on-one kind, but the group setting, city pool kind. It's not super effective, but it's cheap and gets her in the water! She's doing great; she does everything the instructor asks of her! We start up again next week at Edison High, which is an outdoor pool--I think she'll like it.
Dustin, you handsome man, you!
To meet city code, we were required to remove EVERY single tile on our porch, remove 2 inches....yes, 2 inches of dirt, and then replace each tile. Our Huntington Beach inspector was ridiculously petty. Currbear helped Dustin by removing the protective plastic screen on a water tubing thing and depositing handful after handful of sand. What a good baby.
One of my favorite times to smooch on my babes is right after baths, when they're clean and soft and snubbly!
Kavella's hair always looks really good in the morning, right after she wakes up (above). Beautiful!
Kavella! Look at your pretty, bright face!
A fun day at Disneyland....leads to THIS:
Is it more morbid that EVERY time Dustin leaves on a trip, I think, "This is, for sure, the last time I'll see him," OR that I take a "final" picture when he goes? Something is wrong with me.
Memorializing our one day of rain in California.
Naughty little baby! I caught him standing on the entryway table.
Up--Kavella is a good skateboarder! Down--The kids love wrestling with Daddy, "we tag team-ed you, Daddy!"...... and (very bottom), I love chubby, sleeping babies.
