Happy Halloween!

I love my little painted pony! Love, love, love.....love him. Love.

This was our first time to carve pumpkins as a family; I'm the type of person that does NOT put much weight into fulfilling EVERY holiday-themed activity, task, craft or project. However, if it happens to fit into our schedule, then it is surely enjoyed! Carving pumpkins was no exception--we had fun drawing the designs, cutting off the top, cleaning out the seeds/guts, carving out the jack-o-lanterns' faces and then watching it all come to fruition with the placement of a tealight candle! The best thing about the entire production was being with my family; nothing is more important and enjoyable to me.

Curren got to taste a candy corn for the first time....perhaps that was a mistake.

Remember when I mentioned that Kavella discovered "dressing up" her baby brother?

K, Max, Weston, William ready to trick-or-treat!

There is a particular neighborhood in Huntington Beach that goes OFF for Halloween; each house is a haunted mansion or covered in Halloween-themed decor. Kavella kept receiving "double" candy offers because she was so cute! I'm not just saying that because I'm biased; she really did! I mean, look how cutiepie sweet she looks! Love this girl!

That doll looks scarily like Kavella as a baby...

I tried to tuck his double-chin under his shirt for the picture, but it peeped out there on the left side...oh, well, he better just get used to a fat chin; it's in his genes!

I feel so thankful to have these babes in my life! Kavella, Curren, if you are reading this, I want you to know that I love you with all my heart and NOTHING could ever change that! You two are my world.

Carter, the ninja!

Oh My, Cute Baby!

We could be ranch folk, right?

Choco does this thing where he rolls all over the ground, usually where something has died. For example, if I kill a bug on the floor in our living room, he'll sniff it and paw it and then roll around on top of the spot, like a nut-job. I don't know if he's trying to coat himself in its scent, or what? It's funny though. He found such a spot at the ranch. Here he is rolling.

Playing GOLF; playing games with the fam is probably my favorite thing to do!

Thanks Grant for capturing these super delicious pictures of Curren smiling at Ricky!

Doesn't it almost look like his shirt says, "Curren" on it? It actually says 'Surfers for Cetaceans.'

No doi, hieeeee, in the side of a mountain, hieeeee!

Why do I point at nothing in pictures, you ask? I do not have an answer and I apologize that I'm such an idiot.

To quote Mother: "Sunscreen, Grant. Sunscreen."

On our drive home, we caught Choco sleeping ON TOP of Curren. Like I've said before, Choco doesn't even acknowledge that baby number two exists. By not doing so, he thinks he's holding his "position" in the family. Silly dog.

Put a pink hat on Curren and these kids could be twins in this picture. Just wait, subsequent to this photo, Kavella discovered the thrill of dressing him up...in her clothes.

Snowball Fight

It was really fun 4-wheeling in the snow on the way up this mountain! We'd stop every once in a while for a snack and a snowball fight. Way to protect your niece, Grant. Just kidding! Gwanty is so fun and such a good sport! I love that he rarely takes offense and has a good sense of humor.

It's not that I'm ALWAYS drinking a Dr. Pepper, it's just that I had no where safe to set my drink down...I swear. Did you notice that Kavella is always at the beginning of "cccchhhhheese" for pictures? Love.

Sibling picture.

Partial family picture.

Click on this picture to enlarge it. This is when Grant bailed off his 4-wheeler because Ricky and I were BOMBING him with snowballs! We made like 30 snowballs while Grant was off exploring, then we went all guerilla-style on him when he returned. He couldn't take it, so he ran!! Ha, ha, ha! Kavella went to make sure he was okay...what a sweetie.

Dustin is just a little love bunny with his baby boy!

The thing I love about Ricky is how much he plays with Kavella when they're together! While the rest of us timed our excursions past the sprinklers to AVOID the water, Ricky and Kavella decided to just see how it felt to get soaked!

These kids couldn't have a better father! Can't Dustin be bad at anything?! ONE thing? Nope, nothing. He's the best at everything and I love him.

Horsin' Around

Kavella named this horse 'Butterscotch.' She looks quite comfortable here, but don't be fooled; her first encounter with a horse looked more like this.....

In true adult-form, we forced her to 'stick with it' until it got easier, which it did, but it wasn't a pretty picture in the beginning! It was really cool of Daren to let Kavella ride his horse!

Daren's horse was a professional racehorse before he became a ranch horse, so Daren was warning Dustin to NOT run him...for fear that Dust wouldn't be able to stop him! What a pretty horse, huh?

Cutest ranch hand in the world!

MMMMMMMMM! Look at those scrumptious cheeks! D...lish.

What a good boy Choco is to get in the picture. Good boy, good boy, yes he is, yes he is, yes he is! Who's the good boy? Choco's the good boy! Oh, sorry, I got a little carried away there. This is the spot where the boys had a rock throwing contest. It sucks when you get old and your little brother(s) is/are better than you at, well, everything. Just sayin'. Hahahahaha! Actually, Dustin was surprisingly accurate at hitting trees, but I'm pretty sure he pulled a muscle doing it!

Raise your hand if you're sure!
