"Trying to Get Adjusted to My New Home."

We have a great little park situated a few blocks from our home, so we took the kids (wow--the kids...plural? Weird.) there for an evening activity. Curren stayed cozy in the blanket his Granny made him--it's so cute; it has all the different surf spots in California on it!
Kavella is not, and was never, a snuggler. Cureen, it appears, is. I have to admit, I wished for a snuggler. Um, I also have to admit (now that Curren is actually 4 months old--I'm a little behind on posting) that he's a little needy. He not only prefers to snuggle, he can't function unless he's snuggling (i.e. being held, being slept next to, being carried, etc.). What have I done?

If you don't want to smooch those chubby cheeks, then there's something wrong with you. Seriously.

Considering that my own father announced him as "Cullen" to his entire office and our insurance company put in his name as "Cullen," I was pretty surprised that Dustin's work got Curren's name right in their announcement. Curren. Cullen? Really? Like on the Twilight Saga? Admittedly, our kids have unique names, but vampires? A little too far...although, have you seen Kavella's eyes? Hmmmm...

Mica watch!

Lake shoes from cousin Amanda. You'll notice, starting right about here, that Kavella appears slightly unkempt. That's because she is. No bows, now frills, clothes that don't match; what can I say? I was in survival mode.

Poppy!

Uh-huh, all rubbed in.

Dust saw this possum on our front walkway one night. He said it was all "drugged" up and slow moving. Gross.

Curren has the sweetest personality--he smiles ALL THE TIME! Even if he's in the middle of a complete breakdown, the minute you pick him up, he'll give a little grin. I love him and Kavella more than I can explain. I'm pretty sure I love my kids more than most parents....or does every parent feel this way?
