Beanie and Me in HB! (Sept. 2010)

One of the most difficult things in my life is living so far from my family. I desperately wish that someone from my family would move to CA. It would make me so happy! Until then, which will be NEVER, I have to enjoy the short visits of my siblings, which I LOVE!! Colleenie came out in September (yes, 2010) for my birthday!

Look at that perfect form; sharply pointed toes!

I quite enjoy riding bikes and viewing the uniqueness of Huntington Beach. Jump!

This board is a tribute to Shane-a-lito who served a mission in South Africa!

We had to set the camera up for a "timed picture." Where is Kavella, you're wondering? Oh, still strapped into her bike seat, propped against the wall. Totally safe.

You think my face looks disgusting? Take a closer look at what I'm pointing to....

Even though it was entirely foul to look at, Bean and I couldn't stop gawking at the old-dude/young chick make-out sesh going on nearby. It was creepy disgusting. This is the PG version, too! Oh, I forgot to mention that I poached all these, and the following three posts, from Colleen. Thanks Beanie for taking all the pics!

Beanie! (March '11)

20 weeks! Look at Kavella trying to show her belly, too!

My little copycat!

Alrighty, now it's time for some "awkward family photos," which are pretty much my favorite types of photos to take! I was so happy when Colleenie came to visit me for a week in March! Dustin was out of town most of the week, so it worked out perfectly--we shared a bed, shared pregnancy stories, shared food and shared lazy afternoons together (while Kavella napped). I love spending time with my sister!

Ha, ha, ha! Tell me you didn't laugh out loud when you saw that....or at least shake your head and think, "those girls are weird." Yes, yes we are! I am 20 weeks along in these pictures and Colleen is around 30....Beanie was a couple months ahead of me.

Kissing cousins!

Since we didn't have anyone to take the picture, Colleen kept having to set up the timed photo on my windowsill, then run over to get into position. It was cracking us up bc we took some seriously UGLY photos--oh, you thought these were them? No, these are the good ones!

We went to fly in the Great Orange Balloon! It's basically a hot-air balloon that is anchored to the ground by a few long ropes, but it does go up high enough to see a lot of Orange County, so it was cool.

While waiting for our turn on the balloon, we took advantage of the free carousel rides! Ostrich!

That poor horse. No, I was not born with that tail coming out of my booty...

Kavella: cute. Mom: disgusting--children, look away!

Here we go!! When we got up there, the balloon operator hovered around up there for a WHILE. It started to get pretty hot. Or, perhaps that was pregnancy speaking. Either way, I thought I was going to pass out...I didn't. That day. I DID on a different day, but that's another story...a funny one!

I love food. I mean, I could really become addicted to if I didn't exercise a bit of self control. Not that I exercise an exorbitant amount of control now, but I'm just saying I could really let it get out of control if I wanted to. Beanie and I treated ourselves to one date night together and went to one of our favorite restaurants--PF Changs! Oh, my goodness, it is so delectable! We got the Calamari, Crispy Honey Shrimp and Chang's Spicy Beef. Please, go treat yourselves to that if you get a chance--you will not regret it!

One morning, we ventured over to Newport to check out the boats in the harbor. Right when we got there, we spotted a seal swimming around!

Kavella belle played a few video games in the arcade...and by played, I mean, pretended to play since her Mom was too cheap to actually insert any coins in the games.

Then, when we went walking on the pier, Colleen spotted a pod of dolphins! It was a good outing!

We tried our hand at making cute bibs! We also painted a letter for Rylee (Beanie's baby girl) and made some bows! I forgot to take pictures (oh, and I made a tutu!), but you can imagine how perfect they were...or not, but we tried our best! The next few pictures are from an Oklahoma trip! I think it was in May 2011, but I can't keep track.

Dirt bike ride! We had our first wreck, but both came out fairly whole. I think we both still have scars, but we're okay!

Baby chicks at Atwoods--always a Springtime favorite! Yes, we rode the illegal dirtbike over there, too.

Look at the size of that water moccasin! And that is why I will never swim in an Oklahoma creek ever again.

Also on our ride, we saw these beautiful horses playing in the water! Isn't the country so pleasant? You can be sure that we gave our best impressions of horse sounds to try to lure them to the fence. It didn't work. In fact, they ran the other way.

Cabin Fever (Feb. '11)

We got to head up to the cabin one more time during Winter season! It was so fun to have Adam, Chante and kids join us! Merrick, Eden and Kavella loved playing in the snow.

When they weren't sledding or hiking, the girls spent their time eating the snow. They ate a ridiculous amount of snow.....hopefully, none of it was yellow!

At first, there was just a light dusting of snow.

But, soon it started really coming down! The snow was HUGE! It was more like mini-snow balls instead of snowflakes. I love staying cozy next to the fire while Mother Nature delivers her fury outside.

Dustin made himself a Pepsi icee. Look at how big the "snowflakes" were!

One night, we decided to head to a nearby town for some banana splits. We were the only people in the cafe and they were playing music, so naturally, the girls started dancing! We ended up getting brownie pies, which were ridiculously tasty! On the way home, a guy who had slid off the road asked for our help to pull him out. It had really started snowing by then, but Dust can never say "no," so without gloves, he headed outside to assist this guy. After about 45 minutes of nail-biting effort, we realized we just couldn't do it--he needed a tow truck. I thought we were stuck ourselves at one point. It was scary.

We had so much snow on/in our truck that our entire bed was still full of it by the time we made it back to Orange County. Then, we spent the evening having snow ball fights in 70 degree weather. It was fun.

Dan and LesLey's new cabin--isn't it so pretty with snow on it?

Merrick, Kavella and Eden--best friends forever!

Ohhhhh my goodness, let's talk about how cute this snowsuit is!! This is the EXACT snowsuit Dustin wore as a kid! I wish I had a picture of Dust in it. I'm pretty sure I overdressed Kavella--she was sweating within five minutes of being outside.

Oh, and she had no chance of recovering if she fell over. It reminded me of 'Christmas Story!'

Choco would sink almost completely into the snow!

No, those gloves actually fit her--you're welcome, Kavella, for inheriting my "man-hands."

Eden and Chante

"Weeeeeeeeeeeee!"

Nom, nom, nom..snow is tasty!
