Kavella Bella Turns 4!

Look at my sweet, adorable, perfect baby girl!  4. 4?!  No way she's already 4.  Kavella is so precious to me.  She is smart, observant, kind, thoughtful, loving, forgiving, obedient, genuine and friendly. My heart swells...SWELLS with love for her.  I'm eternally grateful to have her as a daughter.  Happy 4th Birthday Kavella! I LOVE you always.

Yeaaaahhh, it's time for a professional photographer.

Kavella rode her bicycle ALL the way to the beach--that's almost a mile!  She did such a great job!

Growing up, we played a lot of games; anytime we were inside, we we were usually engaged in some sort of family challenge!  At Kavella's birthday party, we decided to play the "Flour Game." It's similar to "Categories," but involves a punishment for the person who misses an answer for the category--specifically, carefully cutting away at a flour 'castle' that has a dime balanced atop it.  The person who makes the dime fall has to retrieve said dime....with only their mouth!  Carter was the lucky guest to have to retrieve the dime!

Kavella got a guitar and put on a rockin' concert for her cousins!

Christmastime!

Merry Christmas Poppy and Granny!

Happy Birthday Deina!

Check out the rock sculpture of Curren that Kavella made!  She is not only talented, but she's also very observant; she made it quite clear that he DOESN'T have three legs....hahahaha!

Disneyland is the BEST in the winter--the crowds are low, the weather is chilly and the decorations are ornate!

Merry Christmas 2012.  I love my little family!!

So, while hanging out at our Ward Christmas party, I casually turned around to find Kavella "surfing" on a table, catching the fake wave behind her.  That's my kid!

Darci handed down a car-racing track--Curren will situate himself right in the center of the track and watch the cars race around and around!

Kavella, you precious baby girl!  You are beautiful, thoughtful and sweet!

Kavella received her first bike and Curren received his first scooter for Christmas!

Halloween, Thanksgiving and Kaden Baby!

Charlie Brown and Scary Dragon.  Halloween is such a fun time! I mean, besides the fact that our kids are doing two things that we instruct them not to do--eat a ton of candy and take said candy from strangers--it is a really great time!  We usually only attend our ward's Trunk-or-Treat, but this year we walked through our neighborhood, too.  Kavella started the day as a dragon, but then switched to a princess for the evening festivities.  Look at how ADORABLY DELICIOUS she is in the picture below!

After all that candy gathering, this little nugget crashed out with her headlamp on--Grandpa Roberts would be so proud!

Most favorite owl blankies--thanks Jenn! Grant brought his brand new baby Kaden for a visit.  Kaden is such a cutiepie, plus he is the best baby ever invented--he never cries!  Jenny and Grant are such sweet, gentle parents.

Every Tuesday night, Huntington Beach holds a local street fair.  We like to walk around and check things out, but Kaden wasn't quite convinced.

And this is part of the wetlands.  We just walk on the bridge, check for stingrays, look at birds and throw rocks in the water.

Kavella wrote Jenny a little note....then "read" it to her.  It was sweet.

When taking pictures, it's always a good idea to try out a few different faces, then check out what you look like in those pictures....I mean, you may think that your smile looks perfectly natural, not forced and beautiful, when in fact, well......

Laguna Beach tidepools are another one of our favorite places to visit.  We like checking out all the sea life.

These drawers can hold up to 50 lbs....so, we're almost there!
