Flying in Poppy's Plane!

After Vegas, we went up to visit Granny and Poppy for a bit, which is always fun! Kavella approached Dustin with a request--she wanted to head for the sky in Poppy's plane! How could Dustin say no to this face? He couldn't.

Choco and Kavella checked to make sure the runway was clear....

Poppy pulled the airplane out of the hanger and performed all the required checks before takeoff.

Our pilot--Poppy! He is a very thorough, careful and smart pilot!

Let's take a closer gander at this photo. Although my face screams "DANGER!!," if you look in the background, you can clearly see that we are still on the ground. Oops.

"Breaker, breaker, 5-9, roger that."

"Here we goooooooo!!!"

Within 5 minutes of takeoff, Kavella was lulled to sleep by the consistent purr of the engine. Look at her scrumptious, chubby cheeks.

We flew over Sand Hollow and saw that it was packed! It was Pioneer Day weekend, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Time to land! Thanks, Poppy, for the fun airplane ride!

Quickly realizing that her super-baby-X90 toned-muscles were much more powerful than previously thought,

Kavella decided to just push the plane into the hanger with one finger. Yes, one finger on the tip of the propeller should do it.

When we arrived back to the house, Eloise delighted us all with yet another display of her 15-bag-minimum half-eaten bags of chips. Ahhh, so cute. Time to go help Granny clean out her pantry! Ha, ha, just kidding!

Yeah! Choco's gettin' a little cousin-lovin' from Bandit! Children, turn away.

Proud To Be An AMERICAN!!

A new toy! Dave and Eloise purchased one of those side-by-side four-wheelers--it's like a Rhino. It is so much fun! It has a little truck bed in the back; I can't wait to fill a cooler and head out on an adventure in the desert sometime! On this trip, however, we just loaded the bed with guns, ammo, birdies, empty cans and water and set out to do some shootin'!

Oh, oh my, that is the best picture ever. Proud to be an American! Seriously, how many of you take issue with this? Obviously, we don't have any problems with Kavella learning the ways of the Wild Wild West. I'll have to post the video of her shooting--she claps after the gun fires.

You want to know what is really so wrong with this picture? No, not that we're teaching our 1-yr-old how to load a clip....it's how much that ammo costs these days! Have you tried to purchase ammo lately? It's ridiculous! :)

Awwww, look at her waving with Poppy! She loves her Poppy! They had fun shooting together!

Most favorite toy, ever.

When we got back home, it was nice to cool off in the pool! Now, for the moment you've all been waiting for, the following two pictures are possibly the most amazing, lovable, funny and snubbly pictures you will ever view. Please, try to refrain from kissing your computer screen.....

Ahahahahahaha! Weez and Mini-weez at their best! Isn't that just a wonderful feeling you have looking at these pictures? It makes me want to tickle their chins!

Oh, this random picture is one I stole from my sister. It's Bryce's Eagle Court of Honor! I love my family.

The Joys of a Lazy River

I look thrashed because Beanie and I just got tossed around in the wave pool!

I don't think the idea of a lazy river is that complex. I mean, growing up, my family and I would float down the Illinois River every summer, which was relaxing and fun each time. I'm just grateful that I live in a time when the idea of putting a river into pool-form came to fruition. Colleen bought a couple of inner tubes and we just plopped them into the "river" and went around and around and around....It was bliss. Kavella would either sit in my lap or cruise solo in her tube, but she seemed to enjoy either way! In the course of the river, there were two waterfalls that cooled us off further. I loved splashing around, people watching and chilling in the lazy river with my girls! Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture of us girls, but we DID get one of K and her Daddy! Speaking of Kavella and her Dad, check out the next picture and see if you can tell why Dust is feeling so uncomfortable....

"Hey now, you're an allstar...," "Can't get enough of you baby...," "[something, something] walking on the sun...," and "I'm a believer" were just a few of the Smashmouth songs enjoyed by all the tradeshow attendees, including Dust and myself. C'mon, don't act like you don't remember jammin' out to Smashmouth. No? Go ahead and Google them. Seriously, Google them. Now do you remember who they are? They put on a pretty good show for a bunch of washed up old dudes! Of course, I spent most of the evening body surfing, jumping in the mosh pit and other such schenanigans....oooookay, I might be exaggerating just slightly.

While the Blues Brothers were performing, I took a quick trip to the bathroom and when I returned, this is what I found Dustin doing......

I'm pretty sure the "girl" in this photo is actually Grover in a sparkly dress. That's a dude, right?

Our room came with two complimentary drinks. Colleen and I took advantage of that offer by treating ourselves to some virgin margaritas. It was funny to watch peoples' reactions when we offered Kavella a taste of our drink. "Mmmmm, good, huh?" I'd ask her. "It helps her sleep." Ha, ha!! She loved the lime, too!

What's on the top floor, you ask? Well, this sweet view of the strip and a security guard. Apparently, we don't look like we should be in such a prestigious area. Ouch.

It's soooo early. What time is it?

Oh my gosh, I LOVE me some mini sewing repair kits! Aaaaaahhhhh! Haaa! Ahhh! Ahhhhhh! I'm so happy right now! So happy.

While the rest of us enjoyed our time in Las Vegas, Kavella spent most of her days talking business. "Yup, that's the lowest I can go on that console server. Take it or leave it...."

We brought all Kavella's beach toys, which she loved playing with in the kiddie section of the pool! We had such a fun time!

Goodbye, Mandalay Bay, until next year.....
